Almost timed the small break in the rain in Indy perfectly. Got wet leaving the city but dried quickly on I70. Stopped in Richmond, IN for breakfast and gas and ready to ride another 1:45 to Geeks!

 
JBindy wussed out and called me this morning. Looks like he has a paid room at the Comfort Inn going to waste. Let me know if someone wants to make an offer.

Many didn't show up because of the rain possibility. But wish finished earlier than expected since the ES fork jobs could be completed - one because the owner is ill and mine couldn't because a special tool is required.

The lighter load was actually pleasant.......... We didn't want to risk damaging the ES forks by resorting to McGuivering a tool, so we'll just do that a little later when I get the right tool. Still don't see it as all that difficult, just different.

More time for adult beverages......

Name me one "certified adult" in attendance there? Bunch of Clowns, Hooligans, Geeks, and Canadians there. Just about the same maturity of my 3rd hour.

Got home aboot 10 mins ago. Didn't get a single drop of rain on the way home. Was great seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones! Until next time!

 
So the klown posses just called.. They have corrupted Joes wife and are acting like it's no big deal.

I suspect she's going to beat the lot of 'em when heads hit the rack. And I wholeheartedly support that action!

 
Thanks so much Andy & Sooze! I had a wonderful time, ate like a King, met some wonderful folks, learned a few tricks AND was thoroughly humbled.

I look forward to seeing you all again at EOM (and watching your tail lights fade away in the distance).

Made it back about 2:30 PM. Cruise control is still misbehaving, but that'll likely be a project for the next Tech Day. A chance to do some homework on what the problem could be and be better prepared with things to do. WynPro plates are on the list I think.

Thanks to Andy and Sooze, you are great hosts. A big thanks to Wayne, Mark, and Ray who helped me take apart the bike several times to try and fix the cruise. But the STS module went in well and the wiring harness worked slick. Near as I can tell, that little module works pretty well.

I'm looking forward to the one in the spring.

 
Tech Day XIII is a wrap! Thanks to FYB and yamafitter for helping me out with plugs, TBS, and fabbing up that piece to get the throttle adjuster to actually work.

We enjoyed hosting and look forward to doing it again!

We didn't have the tool required to compress the fork spring to access the lock nut holding the cap in place. It would actually be very easy to fabricate one if we had some taps and some other materials that I have in my garage but it wasn't readily available at Andy's. You can buy the tool on E-Bay for $30 from Traxxion Dynamics so it hardly seems worth the effort to make one.

We told Timmy how to fix his cruise. It's a very simple solution. Buy a '16 FJR. Dumbass.
