I plan to keep the TKCs on for a while just to see what kind of mileage these bad boys offer. I'm pretty sure that if I did not have them on for the Lab trip that I would have had at least a couple of pick-me-ups.

Looking forward to some more info from gotfz1's trip.

I'm interested in hearing how long they last and how well you like them on regular pavement.

I run TKC's on a lighter bike, a DL-650. They wear quickly to ~50% of tread then wear longer. On the DL, I get abouot 4k miles. Will be interesting to see how long they last on the heavier and more powerful fjr.

A quick update on the TKCs. I have roughly 3000 km on them now and they are holding up well. As mentioned, I am extremely impressed with them in the dirt and also the street in tour mode. I had the chance to give them a good run on some local roads in sport mode and one has to be careful when approaching their speed rating of 99 mph. At or above these speeds in the sweepers the bike starts to handle poorly. Other than excessive tire wear I'm not sure what would happen if one pushed these at those speeds for en extended time but I have no interest in finding out. I still plan to run these to the end but it will be at a more conservative pace.

More updates to come
