Couldn't agree more rickm. No comparison. The FJ still rocks in my humble opinion.

Based on all the newer technology on the Tracer ... I think ACC sounds like alot of BSS!

Thought is was hokey but Love ACC on my car. I do have questions about it on a bike. Last thing we need is to increase the ease of being complacent.

Kawasaki also axed the Concours, so this isn't shocking. For shaft driven sport-touring bikes, it's down to BMW, the Tiger 1200 GT, and the Guzzi Mandello.

It’s planned. Euro 5 was the tip of the nail and it goes down hill. Sucks that the euro market affects us so much.

I hate ACC on my 2018 Toyota Tundra, only use it in very unusual circumstances (heavy rush hour traffic I don't experience anymore). It has been fooled a couple of times and took control of the vehicle unannounced and startling to say the least.

I have NO use for all of the fancy electronics, this takes away from the simple motorcycle experiences that have the motorcyclist in COMPLETE control of the motorcycle.

If it was exactly the same as the FJR, chain drive would kill it for. I do not do chain drive and my last chain drive motorcycle was my 1970 Honda CB-750. Went shaft after that.

I will cherish my 2014 FJR (A model) and it may be buried with me when I pass. Most fantastic motorcycle I've ever owned (riding since 1961).

My Tundra is a 2019, and I do like the ACC on it. I still use the accelerator at times to close the gap in front of me when the traffic is heavy. I think it is very handy to use the ACC to slow me down when I catch up to a vehicle in the same lane. I look forward to the day, if it ever happens, when I can get in my car or truck and enter the coordinates or address of my destination and let the electronic chauffer do the driving.

That said, I would not trust ACC on a motorcycle and I would not feel safe depending on any electronic sensors and processors to replace my focus and full attention when traveling on two wheels.

I'm beginning to think the same thing abut my PdP 2003.

My first experience with ACC was on a loaner car. It defaulted to off with key-on. I could easily see someone getting comfortable, then getting lazy, assuming it was on until WHAM!

I put more miles on my bicycle this year than my FJR. That's says something.

I have to say that relying solely on electronic sensors and processors to do the driving for you, whether you're in a car, truck, or motorcycle, is a reckless and dangerous idea. You should always be fully focused and attentive when you're operating any vehicle.

Is what real? All I see is a bunch of shots of mostly "A" models. If there is a 2024, it will almost certainly be mechanically and electronically identical to previous years. At most, you might see some special cosmetic features or a unique paint job for a "final" Special Edition.

Ok my eyes were not deceiving me. I’ve seen 2023 advertised in cycle trader but I was hopeful there is more to come.

It is well known fact that due to Euro 5 regulations, FJR is not available in Europe since 2021. I owned MY07, MY13, and now I am an owner of MY15 AE version (on each I drove ~55k km). I lost a chance to buy “Ultimate edition” in 2020 - due to covid time and also I was still hoping, that Yamaha will not let this great bike die... I was already decided to change to tricolor BMW1250RS MY23 (reserved at dealer). But after seeing an ad for FJR in Austria, with just 470 km, I couldn’t resist. So my 4th FJR is now parked in mine garage since yesterday.
