flashing "low fuel"

I once went 47 miles on reserve, and I only put in two gallons, so I don't how much fuel it had left in the tank. It was way too stressful. Do I need an aux. cell?

Just what I was trying to get at....one day at 1Flashing bar it is 5 gallons to fill and the next time it is 5.5 gallons, so this makes it nerve wracking knowing just where you are at.

That is why I asked o3Silver, what happened when he almost ran out of gas...basically the bar still flashes and it is intelligent guess work when it starts doing so...
