Douglas Adams is (was) terrific. The Hitchhiker's Guide is a classic but you have to be somewhat tuned in to British humor to appreciate Ford Prefect's name. I included Adam's "Don't Panic" as advice to students in one of my text books. Good advice for most anybody. (And probably most improbable.)
