Don't tell anybody around me here in the south...but I don't own a PU or a gun (yet). They might look at me squinty-eyed like.

I appreciate those in the rural areas using a truck for their duties. The rest of you live in the US or Canada, so you have the freedom to choose what fits your wallet, whether you need a truck or not.

I haven't owned a truck in a few years - mainly because I don't really need one. We don't farm anymore, and the cows are just for looks now.

Got rid of those stupid horses, too.

Still, a "utility" pickup truck would be handy.... But try finding a standard cab truck on the lot with an 8' bed......

Like the looks of the Dodge trucks and have test driven three of them. One Hemi and two with the 3.6 liter V6.

Like the Fords better.

Our local Chevy dealer seems to have an attitude, so haven't driven any of those.

But, $30,000 for a pickup truck gives me sticker shock.

My son has an '89 F250 460 cu.in. 4x4 so that will have to "do", at least for the time being. It rarely gets driven. I'd be doing him a favor.

Well, it's about time you did some shopping. You'll need at least one pickup truck and many guns.

Geezer is right . Get the truck first and when the bed is full of guns and ammo you'er just right.

Everyone needs a truck to bring home that big screen TV from Costco for the Super Bowl.

I think the biggest load my F150 has hauled was hauling bodies "drunk and Sober" to and from my house at the first Reuben Run. That was when Richard forgot he was in a truck and walked off the edge.

I rode up front and was very impressed by that truck. The ride made me want another one.

I don't need a truck, but if someone was to hand me a 1940s Ford truck like my Grandpa had, that would be cool. I loved old farm truck smell.

It's all quaint and good memories when you are just visiting the farm and not actually working it. :)

I wouldn't drive anything but my truck in the winter. Beer stays ice cold in the bed when heading home from the store.
Once again here is living proof of just why Spud is the smartest man on our Fine FJR Forum, next to Geezer and Top_Speed1 of course! JSNS, Arriba Ai Ai Ai!
Don, keep up the compliments and I'll have to bring you some 5.0 beer from Idaho to SWFOG.....

Trucks are pretty popular here. This is the local Ford dealer's current inventory (65 trucks....). Cars are in the minority...

In my truck, I use these really cool custom bed organizers. They come in handy for all kinds of things--like keeping beer from rolling around. If someone takes one out of the back...oh well.

This is my Titan in my parking lot at work today. There's a reason lots of people have them here...

and when Richard fell out, the truck's back end lifted by 2.5 inches!

Yes it's her truck and it hauls everything from Reuben drunks, compost , goat and chicken feed, fencing and tows the trailer for heavy things I don't want to lift into the bed. Where we live I wouldn't be without the four wheel drive cause the snow can get deep and our road is 3/4 mile of VW sized pot holes in the winter. The 5.0 liter has been good but if they have the ecoboost in a color she likes in a crew cab and 4X4 it could be the one. I don't know much about the base V6 so some research is in order along with the other makes. I have 3 months left to decide.
Don't know if it's a "real" truck but my 55 F100 is used daily year around. I put studded tires on in the winter and away it goes. Drove it to DCarvers hondarosa with my Handy lift and a load of tools in the back for the FJR motor transplant. Running with traffic on I5 in Kali I got 23 mpg with a load on it.
