I could have helped a fellow FJR owner today but I didn't... here's why. I'm at the local stealership earlier today to get the annual inspection done, when up glides a beautiful Black Cherry. I greet the gentleman and his companion and after a few minutes talking I ask if he was on the forum. He looks at me like I had just felt up his wife and says "I don't have time for that foolishness".

So the conversation wanes and my inspection is complete, but before I leave I overhear this sap being charged $65.00 for a Final Gear Oil Change! I would have offered to change the guys gear oil myself at no charge, but I didn't have time for that foolishness!

That was probably the truth for him, he's busy earning money to compensate for his ignorance. Doesn't sound like he would last here anyway.

I've run into a couple of FJR riders like that. Conversation gets started, start trading information and let them know about the forum and then... :dntknw: Their loss I guess.

We're in the "forgiveness" business here. Go in peace, my son!

Uhm...you may have saved him from YOUR "foolishness", but not his. Too bad! One would like to help every other rider but we can only do what we can. AND, you didn't steal any profit from the dealer.

No harm...no foul. Like a phone call with a bad connection, sometimes you just have to hang up.

You must be a nice guy. I wouldn't have felt bad for him! Any one who is a "Huskey" and FJR owner earns bonus points in my book! :yahoo:

No, no, say it ain't so.....He must have been passing through, not a fellow Texan oblivious to the wisdom of the forum :( ...

Before, I even bought my fjr, and was dealership looking; Salesmen would use that as a selling point with the FJR and the C14, that there were great forums to join

and be a part of. For some reason, I figured well everyone who owns a Feeg must must be a member... ;)

I mean really; why would you drop serious cheddar on one of the best bikes in the world and not get the benefit of a powerful network..

Ah well, I probably would have done the same thing you did Steel...,,,for sure.

I ran into an FJR in the parking lot of a John Smith Subs while going for lunch one day a while back. We made eye contact and I road up to him and said,

Nice looking Bike! You on the Forum? He looked at me like I was asking about some Roman Orgy thing! It was the strangest look I've ever seen in my life.

Chit Chatted for about 10 seconds and I just smiled and walked in for my Philly Cheese Steak. I got this overwhelming feeling of sadness for the guy. Come on!

I think being a member on this Forum is half the Fun of owning this Magnificent Machine. Yeah, that was probably another guy who'd pay 65 bucks to get his

Final Drive gear oil changed. I mean, to each his own but, I don't get it!

The guy might'a been one of them noobs that got all pissy when the search word was tossed at em..

There are some dicks here ya know ;)

:jester:
