Fork cap will not budge

Red? I hope not, but I have seen stranger things. You would think that anyone that would se doing service on forks would know not to over tighten the cap.

Common sense isn't nearly as common as you would expect

They probably used the same spec for tightening the oil drain bolt.

6 sided hex wrench should do.
