how much fork oil goes back in after draining the oil, what is the fork oil height in mm. also what is the stock weight oil

Stock springs? Kayaba says 5 weight. Aftermarket springs? I like the 7.5 recommended for the Wilbers. IIRC, fill to within 100 mm of the top of the tube. I don't have my manual handy. Maybe someone else can confirm.

And remember, the fork oil height spec is with the forks vertical, not as mounted in the triples with both wheels on the ground.

thanks for the replies, i have done it other bikes so i know they must be vertical to measure the oil. i have to replace one fork seal do you have to separate the leg from the tube and if so i know you reach down into the tube and hold that bolt or what ever it is does anyone know wehat tool top use i heard that there is a trick to it with some square stock i just do not know what size it is.
