I've had my '08 FJR for almost 3 months now and it simply kicks ass - I couldn't be happier with my choice! Now, it's time to make a few mods.
I’m already planning to pick up a pair of FZ1 mirrors to try them out. At some point, I’ll be adding a top-case, but not in a huge hurry.
First, I want to get some frame sliders, but there seem to be so many and wide price ranges. Aluminum? Delrin? Other? Which ones and why and where’s the best deal you’ve found?
Secondly, I’d like to get some bar risers/extenders. I’m 6’2” and fairly comfortable on the FJR even on my longest rides, but I’m pretty sure I’d be more comfortable with the bars a little higher and possibly closer to me for a bit more upright position. Which ones and why and where’s the best deal you’ve found?
