Really? How? I have a 3GS, running iOS 4, and don't see it running in the background.

It doesn't yet, but I'll bet they come out with an update for v4 pretty quick.

Been using instamapper for a while. while no Spot, it is very effective where cell service is available. Family was able to track my trip to CFR and back but lost me when in Northern Ontario.

Apps have to be written specifically to have background operation under iPhone OS4 (sans Jailbreak.) I'm hoping that InstaMapper comes up with an update soon but I'm not holding my breath!

Thanks for the pointer...I just installed it on my HTC Incredible. Had to reboot the phone to get it to work, but it's happy now!
