Many thanks SacramentoMike: 'Zilla, and Papa Chuy are wearing ours just like Mick does!

SkooterG, Niehart, patch308 and dcarver are wearing theirs a lot lower, a whole lot lower!

I still haven't received mine!

I suppose I'll have better luck if I actually order one. ;) PM going out asap.

Thanks for offering these, Mike! :yahoo:

I recently read an article saying how high viz gear doesn't make you any more visible to motorists, but I'm not sure how you could miss SouthernCruizer in that jacket.

the color scheme is called "TOXIC"...and your article is correct, they be trying to run my (_!_) down every day, even with this neon nitemare jacket!!!

I think you just give them a really good target.

On the other hand (to keep this on topic) I don't think the EMT's are going to see your ICE tag from the blinding glare coming off your jacket, they'll have their hands shielding their averted eyes.

I got to thinking last night in the middle of a 260 mile trip,( in a winter storm, ice, snow, high winds) while busting snow drifts with the front bumper.

Maybe these tags aren't just for motorcycle rides.

I was thinking of attaching it to a Thumb Drive with all my vital info. Everyone has a computer these days.

Name

Address

DOB

medical info

Person to contact

Maybe even a short video explaining your final wishes should you become deceased.

Nobody likes to think of death, But it is unavoidable, And riding increases our odds of it.

YMMV

When I saw that picture I thought I should buy a short length of stab-me-in-the-eyes orange webbing and make one just for SC. That red-versus-orange color combo looks like ***!

Good idea.

but attach the hard card too. First responders may not have the software to read your thumb drive.

Just put your VITAL information on an easy to read card. No one in EMS gives a **** about your final wishes. Their job is to keep you breathing long enough to get you to a hospital. Then they drop you off and go back to whatever bit is they were doing. Why would anyone think that EMS or Law Enforcement is going to plug in a thumb drive, wait foe it to load and then read it or watch a video.

If your really hurt, they don't have time for that kind of nonsense. Put it on an easy to read card that the Paramedic can attach to his clipboard. That's it!! They'll notify your family and they can worry about your last wishes.

I would never plug some random persons thumb drive into my work computer for liability, security and privacy issues.

Just so everyone knows, the ICE thing is not as well known or popular than we'd like to think. More than half the cops I have asked in the last two weeks have no idea. I constantly get asked, "Why isn't it Emergency Contact Information (ECI)?" Neither EMS nor law enforcement is "trained" to look for an ICE tag. We'll need to help with that education

I think it's a great idea and will wear mine proudly, but it's not magical

Make it EASY! Word will get around...Eventually!

Well ****... Leave it to AJ to bust my balls on my only good idea this year.

I am going to do it anyway. :****:

Well, if you're gonna do it anyway, at least add some good **** to your drive. That way it makes it worth looking at!!

AND your first good idea this year was when we went to Ghengis Grill. YUM!!

Love you man.

As usual, I'm confused. I.C.E.? In Case of Enima? Do I keep a dozen tissues in the "tagged" pocket?

+2 on what everyone else has said Mikey. I always suspected that deep down you were alright.

Mark
