Anyone have a link to a well tested GPS file for the TMT and Puppy Dog? I have some old ones but I don't know how reliable they are.
Looks like Sunday is the day!

Shoot me an email and I'll send you them. GPX or GDP?

I've tested the TMT, but not the Puppy Dog. Puppy Dog has been the same for a few years and is all roads. TMT is a track and some gps don't handle them well.

I heard the zumo takes the track and coverts it to a route and the dirt roads often don't show up on the zumo map. My gpsmap478 handles the tracks pretty well. Too bad they discontinued it.

Ooops. I spoke too soon. Checked with the events director and she informed me that my dance card is already full for next weekend. :glare: I'll have to take a rain check on the TMT.

And any attempt at a breakfast run will have to be on Friday (I'll start another post on that).

As to the Zumo, mine seems to show all the dirty roads, but you have to zoom way in for many of them. And some of the ones it shows aren't passable (or even there) when you get there! I'll send you an email later. Heading out right now.

It's a 250.
We'll put you in front because your not riding a pig!

I've got mapsource route out and then tracks for the TMT and ride back. If you want them let me know.
I don't mind riding point, but be advised I'd have no way of knowing where the hell I'm going except follow the yellow brick road!!  I might have to rip off remove my wifes Touratech mount of her Kool-Aid kart that she'll never use :glare: and mount it on the green machine.

As far as .gpx files, it won't do me any good. The software for Mac won't recognize or convert it.... I'm really missing my pc, but farkles have taken any fundage for it. ;) I haven't done so yet, but am going to, go online and see what I can scout out as far as mapping just to get an idea of the TMT.

I had signed up to work an extra shift sunday night, but if they haven't plugged it in yet to the schedule I am gonna wipe the slate clean and make this ride!! :yahoo:

I can relate. Many times on wonderful backroads, the zumo has me turning where there is no road or on a goat path that is overgrown with vegetation that would be difficult to traverse even with a good off-road machine.

We'll miss ya and take pictures to show you what ya missed.

Son of a bitch... They've already got me on the schedule for Sunday! Not like I'm not unused to sleeping, but....

A few cursory questions: How many folks are planning on attending this ride? Is Saturday a doable day as opposed to Sunday? If so, I would actually prefer Saturday, but would go with whatever the group concensus is on what day is best for the majority.

I would see how I feel Sunday morning before making the final commitment, but knowing me, my ADHD and hypomania would get me through from being excited! What time do you suspect we;d be finishing up the ride and getting back to the rally point?

I'd love to make this one!

Great ride report! Wish I were there with you.

How did the NERiders map routes work out? I was the one to convert everybody's suggestion to the gps format. Any issues?

Hope to do the Puppy dog late summer. You still have a dual sport? No not the FJR!
