Just purchased a 2010 fjr and noticed a small line which enters rear hub on rear right side and front hub on left front side. What purpose does this serve?

The description konfuzed me at first. I believe what you are seeing are the ABS pickups. Do the 'small lines' go to a doohickey held on by one Allen head bolt? If yes, say high to the ABS sensors. If it is indeed the one Allen head bolt ABS sensor, the line is actually two wires that lead back to the ABS ECU (anti-lock brake computer)

What you have described looks accurate. Why would there be abs sensors if I don't have abs. There is no abs designation on bike and dealer also stated if was not abs.

It's possible they were wrong and somebody removed the subtle small stickers on the front fender. Might look on the rear wheel for a similar pickup...and if so under the right side panel for an ABS block. If so, it was a $1100 extra option back in 2005. Or go out and grab a bunch of rear brake and see if the thing pulses or not.

I think the subtle stickers were removed. I see what you are referring to under right side panel. Also checked standard features for 2010 and they say abs standard. Oh well, I got a little more extra than I had thought. Thanks!

ABS is a Good thing to Have. :clapping: This is Your Lucky Day Cautious! It's like finding out that, that Itching and Burning sensation in your Pants was just a mild Bladder Infection! :brunette:

You stated it is a 2010 bike. All 2010 FJRs have ABS. The ABS stickers were on Gen I bikes, where ABS was an option for a couple of years.

captaincautious needs to correct/update his forum profile, which (and I'm sure confused many) says 2005 FJR.

Dang n00bs, anyway! :p :p :p

Of course, he IS from the "Land of Patriot" (aka Mike Oliver) so there's that!
