FORK UPGRADE (at the risk of causing yet another downward spiraling thread....

These guys (GP Suspension) do some excellent work and have performed a number of group buys on the forum. Look here, under the group buy heading.

Pretty good if you're on the "left" coast, still good if you have to ship things across the country.

These guys https://www.traxxion.com/ are in GA. and area also reputed to do good work.

There are a couple more places listed in this thread "Alternate FJR Parts Sources" in the FAQ section.

Personally, when I had a leaking fork seal replaced, I took both forks to a local dealer (with an excellent reputation) and had them replace bushings and install a set of springs for my weight. It mad a world of difference in how my bike handles and "doesn't" nose dive under braking.

It may well be that replacing the bushings and springs would be all you need. That is, unless you have "farkle-itis" for which there is no known cure. :dribble:

Thanks Mike,

Since I'm marooned on the Least coast ;) , I'll probably be working with Traxxion. At this point, all my descretionary funds are diverted to the road trips planned for the summer. A new suspension upgrade will have to be a 2010 winter project.

As to farkleitis, yes, I have the disease.

I'll look into the group buy stuff, but until then, what price point should I expect for both front and rear upgrades?

Thanks again for your help.

Rick
