I got the whole kitt & kaboodle, full stainless lines, rotors, pads, clutch line. What a fuckling pain in the ass it was to install. I managed to chew a few bolts, even after heating the hell out of them. Anyway, It's done now. Here's a few pics and some questions below.

1- What's the best way to bleed the entire system? I used a compressed air-operated Mity-Vac vacuum pump, bled like I normally do, any trick to make sure there's fluid in all the lines and ABS block? Everything feels good, just checking.

2- Front rotors have a bit of play in them. Went bolted to the wheel, the outer part (that makes contact with the pads) moves back and forth about 1-2 mm from the mount. Is that what a floating rotor does?

3- I managed to really f --- up a bolt on the left front rotor. Long story short, bolt is broken, tried extracting and extractor is also broken..........so I only have (5) bolts on the left rotor, any ideas?

I've done something similar myself - I took the part to a metal shop where the guys there just welded a little bit of metal onto the broken stump of the bilt, then turned it out as easy as pie. I don't know if you can tow - or ride your bike at present but that might be one solution.

Your new rotors looks nice = let us all know if the new ss lines change the feel of the brakes,

About $1,100 and my bike is on '06. Todd @ California Superbike can hook you up. While the install is a royal PITA, all pieces look to be of very high quality. Now, let's see how they perform!

 
Looking Good ! I managed to strip a few bolts after using heat too. Quick Question . . . I was under the impression that all '06 models have ABS, and the SS line kit didn't work on the ABS models, so I only ordered the rotors. Am I mistaken? If so, please enlighten me.

There's a full SS line kit available for Gen II ABS bikes as well but it wasn't offered as a choice on the Galfer GB for whatever reason. I signed-up for the GB and once the vendor contacted me, I inquired about getting a discount onthe full SS line kit and he gladly obliged with a nice discount.

I don't have the part # handy at the moment, but it is listed on the Galfer website.

What did you do about your stripped bolts?

 
Great Looking Job. Hope you get that broken bolt fixed.

I can't help but notice the Floor. Is that your garage??? If it is, what do you do....get a buffer out each day and go to cleaning?? LOOKS GREAT AS WELL!!!

Just curious.... what are these wires that I circled in yellow below?

They sure look like they might get pinched against that sub-frame rail if that black nylon assembly sits down on it.... :unsure:

Thanks for the info, I guess that I mistakenly thought there was not kit available for ABS models... oh well. As for the stripped bolts, I drilled them and used an easy-out, then ordered replacements from the local dealership for $1.54 each.

Wires going to my fuse block under the seat. No worries..........I just moved them out of the way when installing my SS brake lines. They are now in a wire loom, nice and neat and working great.
