This thread convinced me to keep my well running 550 Zumo for a while longer.

Well, what I really like about this unit is it IS very visible in very bright sunlight without any sun-screens.
I think the first may have failed as I may not have had as much rubber cushioning as it could have.
And on my FZ6, I added schrader valves to the forks (air assist) to tighten up the forks a bit (which didn't
make vibs to the triple any softer).
I've since modified the mount with more rubber, definitely not as stiff and loctited the main main mount just tight enough NOT to rotate.... You can see the space(ie rubber) in the second pic and the SS allan head bolt goes thru another rubber grommet so there is NO metal to metal contact being transferred

I loved mine and it was only after sending it back to Garmin 3 times in 2 months that I reconsidered the offer to upgrade and I love my Zumo 390. learning the menus was a treat but after that all is well now. Curvy road option is sweet.
