Will the garmin 765 pair with ncom headset? I want to buy a new gps I want it to have a mp3 so I can stream music get gps commands and phone calls. I currently have a tomtom rider2 but it has no mp3. I really dont want to spend 700.00 for a zumo, but I heard that car gps will not pair with headsets please clear up this issue.

I got the Nuvi 765 but would rather have the PassportIQ w built in radar detection. Just makes sense to have one screen do all, the only problem is Escorts maps are not really updated and when they are they cost $ (like a lifetime subscription would be nice w a onetime fee).

The Nuvi 765 is nice w BT if you want to hear T/T directs or have your phone mapped thru it for all-in-one BT connectivity.

The phone part is not true. Won't work. It'll bluetooth to the phone, but it will not send the call to the headset. It will only use the internal speaker and mic. It will send GPS voice prompts and music to the headset though. The 765t can get kind of buggy with MP3's though. Mine would lock up fairly regularly, and if you have a lot of songs on the SD card the thing takes forever to boot up, as it will scan the entire SD card before it will be ready to navigate. I lasted about 2 or 3 months with the Nuvi, then I ended up getting a Zumo 665. As a GPS the Nuvi works fine, but I wouldn't use it for MP3's.

Can't map the phone through the 765 to a BT headset. The 765 only allows one BT connection - at least as far as I was able to determine. I have mapped the phone directly to my Senna and the 765 separately to the Senna. I never had an issue with the MP3 player on my 765 with over 3 GB of music on the SD card. Boot time is generally less than a minute. YMMV
