Anybody using a Garmin 61 and how do I mount it.

Had a look at the device manual online and saw no mention of Basecamp or routing using a computer application. Not to say it couldn't be done but I didn't see it with a quick scan though the manual.   Don't know if Garmin is actively supporting or updating Basecamp any more?  Edit: See my post below on Basecamp updates corrected by rbentnail and a link to compatible devices.

They are.  I updated mine a couple days ago.

Good info, thanks.  I found a list of Basecamp compatible devices and the 61 appears to be included - despite the fact that I didn't see it in the manual.

You may note that a number of Zumo devices are NOT fully compatible with Basecamp, including the 665.  I have used it for years but not entirely without problems.

I use the garmin 61 lot-s on my Fjr 
you can connect everything with a ram mount socket 

here’s the peace that you need to connect the clip from the back of the gps to the ram mount socket 

ARKON 25mm ball to 17 mm ball adapter 

You can find it in amazon for a few bucks 

it holds steady , no vibrations , nothing crazy 

just no water of course
