We are just now getting a new cable from Starcom to connect the zumo™ to the Starcom. You can see it my clicking here.

Note that this cable enables sound to both ears but is NOT true stereo. You need a MIC-01 and an MUS-04 cable if you want stereo.

Of course, the normal FJR Forum discount applies to this item. See links below.

Do you think that cable will work with the Autocom?

Autocom is supposed to be building one but hasn't got their $%#) together yet.

If it has the typical 3.5mm jack, I don't know why it would not. Nothing more than an isolated cable with the appropriate connectors on it. They are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I only have two of them coming in this order as when I ordered, there was no information available.

That cable should work for *all* garmin units. I've recently learned that they (Garmin) use an ungrounded signal that doesn't play nice with conventional amps and mixers, and requires an isolation transformer on the signal line. I bought one for $10.

I just got off the phone with Scott from Top Gear accessories (https://www.autocomamerica.com/). Scott says that they should have the leads for the Zumo by early March. Price for the Autocom accessory will be >$80 + shipping.

Can anyone verify that they use this Starcom lead for the Zumo with the Autocom without issue??? I'd really hate to spend that much more for the same part...

Don't know if this will work for the Autocom or not, but I am finding my own challenges in even getting this to work with the Starcom. When the cable is plugged into the Phone connector - the Zumo audio is in both ears (can't tell if it is truly stereo) but the VOX doesn't decrease the music if someone speaks.

If the cable is plugged into the Audio, then the music is only in one ear (mono) but the VOX does work. Though I have not confirmed that the phone would work.

We will keep playing.

The word I got from Starcom Tech was that the CAB-55 will NOT work with Autocom.

More info: You can use the CAB-55 with Starcom1 and zumo™, but the music will not be in stereo if you are using the zumo™ as your player. You will have Bluetooth phone capability.

If you want to have Stereo from the zumo™ player and use the Bluetooth phone as well, You need two cables. The standard isolated MUS-04 music cable and the new MIC-01 cable, which is not showing on my site right now. I MAY have the new MIC-01 cable by the end of next week. It will go from the 2.5mm socket in the zumo™ to the telephone input on the Starcom.
