That's mostly hilarious!

The only reason it isn't totaly hilarious is it's true, and those nozzles are cold here in the northeast! :(

And it is only going to get worse.

At least we still have it better than Europe

If you think gas is bad, try diesel. One station had it at $4.25 per gallon the other day. Last week it cost me $147.00 to fill up the truck. Can't wait to start riding the bike and saving some money!

Holy smokes batman! I am in Europe this week (enjoying the Autobahn BTW...hehhehe) and gas is crazy here. I promise I will never, ever, EVER ***** and moan about it in the US. And this damn autobahn allows me to cruise at times at 145mph (all my rental care will do as she redlines in 5th). I burned 1/3 of a tank of gas just travelling from Dusseldorf to just outside Venlo which aint far.

No wonder there are so many BMW and quite a few FJR owners over here. Its too damn expensive to drive.

i drive a VW Jetta diesel and here i pay 4.75 for one us gallon, or 1.26 per liter :(

Avagas 100LL a $4.61 here in NW Indiana, and the bigger airports are over $6.50 per gallon. Small general aviation planes burn 8 to 12 gallons per hour - have you noticed how few are flying around lately?

This should kill power boating and RVs too.

Welcome to the future!

Great news!

With the real estate crash, the building industry in the tank and diesel at $4.10/gal, I no longer need or can afford to drive my truck every day! Thanks to the economy and OPEC, I now have more reasons to ride!

That's good news, right? Kinda?

I had 2 long trips on my bike planned for this summer. If gas goes to $4.00/gal, that will drop to 1 shorter, long trip.
Thing is, here the price has crept up and up, and it has just been anounced that it will go up again soon. But it deters no-one. The roads are more crowded than ever.

'They' want us to start using public transport. What would you rather do?

Stand in the rain waiting for a bus that is 20 minutes late, then sit next to an alcoholic mugger, and then get off half a mile away from where you want to be only to find that you now have chewing gum stuck to your ***.

Or

Go in the car or on the bike?

Two days ago I filled my truck with 87 octane.... $106 (rounded up)......... My July bike trip may be shortened by a few days if this continues.

Anybody else notice people driving slower and easier with fewer jack rabbit starts to conserve fuel? I did a non-scientific pole here with three people and they have all noticed it too.
