It might require you waking up early. If you are okay with that, you are more than welcome to join me.

Oh crap. I forgot about that one little point

Hmmm.... well, since I've told Old Michael on more than one occasion that I'd head out at 0430 with HIM (given the opportunity), I suppose I could try it with you ;)

You do know that coaches share their sleeping bags with all pupils, right?
Hey, I don't make this stuff up. It's the rules!!
Really ? ;)
That's what my Boy Scout Councilor told me. And my priest corroborated. It must be true...
 Careful Fred....El Cajone's prolly watching yew. Turning another perfectly good thread into a ***** pile !!

Geez, MEM, don't try to set me up as the board censor or anything! It's just that sometimes a ***** pile is a ***** pile!

Route 299 runiing from Sainte-Anne-des-Monts to New Richmond, is this a must do road or skip it for another day. Also, can one expect moose in that part of Quebec?

Thanks,

I did the Gaspe coast clockwise and had views such as this along the north-east side of the Gaspe.

As you can see I had some great weather in June when I did this trip a few years ago.

There will be some opportunities to get some photos of lighthouses along the way.

I also went down to the harbour in the town of Gaspe to check out the boats.

Roads look great, many police ? Safe to play a little?
Canadian FJR
I don't remember seeing any police while up on the north shore of the Gaspe.

The only problem you may have while playing is that there is no place to hide.

There are very few alternates.

When I was there school was still in so vacation traffic was light. This may not be the case in late June.

BMW Bob & I did it CCW September 2008 & had a blast, on our 2 1/2 day ride on the Gaspe' there was one LEO that we passed (opposite directions)... bye-bye-see you later... and that was it...... so, it's safe to play, as long as you don't get caught. Did Donnie find his camera??

Any issues with bikes being stolen on the Gaspe? I know a lot of snow machines and trailers get stolen up there in the winter.

If there is a problem can anyone recomend lodging with a garage?

thanks, jack

That sounds encouraging. The last time that I was in Mount-Tremblant (Superbike Races) 10 of us lost close to $20,000 worth of gear. This is my first trip back to Quebec since. <_< Lets hope for happier times this year.

I case anyone is worried we spent some time on this while picking the site and I'm not expecting any security issues at CFR 2010

We have our own dedicated parking lot round the back of our condo's.

The condo's have excellent visibility while it is well hidden from the driveway.

Most people will never know where we are even if they are staying on the resort.

If upstanding citizens were allowed to pack heat and protect their property (and themselves) there would be less of this crap all over the world. ( kinda like the "when guns are outlawed...only outlaws will have guns" saying) Too much politically correct BS here, there and everywhere!

I didn't mean to stir the pot on this. I'm sure that there will not be any issues. Thanks to the rally folks for all their efforts.
Canadian FJR
No problem, it's a valid question and concern at all rally's,

It's one of the things we (FJRPierre & I) looked at on the last site visit and I'm quite happy with the arrangements we have in place.

Chris

Blue skies in Ottawa this afternoon and clearing to the East, you should have great weather.
