GOTC Eureka Restaurants

Ok, so Eureka is a miniture San Francisco, great food is to be had, however, we have no parking issues, no politically correct government approved menus etc.

Seafood,

Sea Grill, 3rd and E sts, the best in town,

Waterfront Grill, 1st and Fst, pretty damn good!

Cafe Marina, on the first island going over the Samoa Bridge, also pretty damn good, just had a blackened snapper sandwich w/Brodie and Russ Perry the other night.

Sushi,

Bayfront Grill, 1st and Fst, NICE!!

Kyoto Sushi, 3rd and Fst, pretty damn good!

other Sushi spots are Obento, and Hana, both good.

Steak,

AA bar and grill, 4th and J st. the BEST steak for the buck, dingy little bar with the best steak!

Sheamus T-bones foot of Trusdale, new and has been packed, have not dined there yet

Mexican

La Chapparita, 4th and R, 1.5 blocks from the Red Lion, my favorite, they have the cleanest kitchen!!

Breakfast

Kristina's, 4th st @ Broadway

Adels, Broadway at Wabash,

Cafe Marina

other notable restaurants that stand out

Samoa Cook house, over the Samoa bridge, 5 min from Red Lion,

this is a Lumbercamp dining hall that still serves food the same fashion, family style, all you can eat. No menu, Breakfast is served, lunch is served and dinner is served, the food does change each day, ie, Fried chicken for dinner on wed, pork ribs on thursday,(just as an example)

Cutten Inn, Walnut Dr in Cutten, its near my house! great little restaurant with full bar, GREAT staff, buy Brandi (server) a drink and she will make sure you have the best evening!

Friday nights is Ladies Night!

This is the best spot for dinner!

hope this helps

Brandi is this lucious voluptous Portuguese gal with a big warm inviting smile and a has lots of fun with her customers, if she does not make sure you have a great evening, then your an *******, and nothing will help.

That is quite a list of restaurants, FWFE. Of course, walkability is key for some of us if we're going to have a little something to drink with dinner. A bunch of us visited the Samoa cookhouse a couple of years ago for a good breakfast in a very interesting setting. Dinner there one night sounds like a plan but for me at least would require a cab. Any decision yet on the night for the seafood place? Thurs or Fri or Sat works here. Oh, and I've got some Ardbeg for you to sample.

I do not think your statment is correct, the Samoa Cookhouse sells beer and wine and to have someone bring in their own alcohol would be an ABC violation.

Dining rules #3, "Don't be a tightass, buy your beverages in the restaurant"

hope this helps,

I have made reservations at the Sea Grill for 10-12 people at 6:30 on Thursday night, they tell me they can accomdate up to 20 people, they will need a final count by Wed night, so please add your name and count to the list, as I will notify them of the final number, first come first serve. Also, the local cab company has vans that can be hired for the trip.

Same here.

And I've got some Blantons bourbon to sample if anyone is interested.

FWFE, please add two people (me and Mark from Vashon) to the list for Thursday night dinner.

Neil, I' d be interested in trying some of that Blanton's....and in addition to the Ardbeg I've got some Talisker and Bruichladdich that need assessment.

DC, yes I will take a sip now and then....but not like some of the folks one meets at these motorcycle wingdings.
