Made it in about 6:30. Mark, our new Harley Guy followed us to Lapine and latter wished he had gone to the casino. On the way down from Crater lake the sky started getting dark and there was lightning in the distance. Part way up 97 I stopped and asked Mark if he wanted to suit up for rain and he said "It's only 40 miles so why bother". It turned ugly from there with rain , lightning and marble sized hail. There were a few cars in the ditch but with no place to hide I kept rolling and Patti and Mark followed behind.
Damned hail hurts like hell in mesh gear and Mark was not having fun wearing his Harley style helmet. I was as scared as I have been in some time but we made it home and got dried out and fed. No pictures but a few welts from the hail.
Was a good gathering and big thanks to Richard for setting it up.
Next on the agenda is the Reuben Run so get your **** together and head for Lapine for food and frolic.
