We had one die in an old boyscout canteen long ago. I was about 10 (long ago,) and didn't think to wash it out. Man that thing tasted pretty bad, and didn't look good either!!!

Always wash out the canteen.

In the RV business I here this all the time. I have heard from many customers: Downy brand dryer sheets in original scent...stuff them everywhere. It really does seem to work the best. No joke.
Even if it does not work on the rat problem, your exhaust should smell pretty good!!

Must be a Yamaha thing!

I had, key word being had, an RX/1 snowmobile. I went out to start it for a trip that was coming up and it would not start. Took a loog and found acorns a plenty, droppings all over. Sheeze.

Took it into the dealer that looked at it, called me back and said that will be 3,000.00 please. WHAT?

Seems they ate through the wiring harness, crapped in the carbs, chewed up the instrument panel and handlebar assy's.

little Bas***ds!!

Told the dealer to keep it and give $1K towrds the purchase of an ATV which they did.

In the future I have heard that using bounce dryer sheets will keep them at bay.

Short story, true story---Me and few friends took a 3 day ride to a state park, rented a cabin for a couple nights, big forest area. One friend has a 1100 vstar and he had covered it for the night. After dark we cooked out on the grill and racoons started coming out of the woods and up to the picnic table after the food. We had to run their gready little ***** off several times. Anyway after a good steak and a bounty of red wine and a good nights sleep, my vstar bud slept in a bit late that next morning. While sipping on coffee and enjoying the fresh air I started picking up acorns (this was in October of 03). Hmmm what to do w/a fist full of acorns. Put them on his seat I thought, under the cover. Welp my vstar bud being the dedicated cruiser guy that he is could not wait to ck out his baby the next morning and do a little polishing on the chrome. I waited w/anticipation to see his expression when he pulled that cover off and found that stash of acorns on his seat--oh man you talking about ballistic. I had him going for the longest time, he took off his seat, ck'ed his air box, ck'd his wiring, etc. Damn it was funny. We finally told him and I am still alive to tell the story ;)

My Brother has a TDM850 he took it to the dealer because it wasnt running quite right and the found a mouse nest in the air box

You need my cat............as they say here locally, "we ain't got no mice, or rats either. Also no chipmunks or baby rabbits." The hunting sucker even brought in a snake the other day!
