One other thing.... Did you burp or milk the air out of the system after your refill? Sometimes air bubles cause heat issues, you must get all the air out of the system.

Thermostat could be an issue too on an older bike. Slappy had a thermostat issue on his '07.

Bluesman: Good thought. On the agenda for this weekend is to pull the radiator cap and check for air and check the overflow tank. Not sure if I'll leap to replacing the thermostat right now---she's not overheating, just running warmer than I'm used to.
