Some use a little oil in the gas during break in. I got a couple of RD's, but not as nice and clean as your bike.

And some often get glazed cyl walls as a result. Oil is good, but too much can be a real problem. The injection system on this bike works well, and provides more than enough.

Hey Rad,

As Elmer would say..That's vewy vewy nice ! I live in an apt now, but I still keep an old Lawnboy mower at my Dads place just so I can fire it up and smell that 2-stroke smoke ! I was raised on RD's and ya just cant get that stuff out of your blood ! Really great work dude ! Thanks for sharing too!

Bobby

Thanks all... :D More pics-it's a roller now, sorting out the electrical with the help of some stuff from Vintage Connections, great source for connectors from the past, as well as the vinyl loom/conduit one could never find.

Bodywork is at the painters now, will be a while before I see it again. Motor goes in this weekend, won't be long and the cats will be runnin' and the wife yellin' 'bout the stink.......... ;) :p

May just be the photo, but it looks like you missed the inside of the shock spring...
I was wonderin' who would be the first. The shocks won't come apart-not without destroying them, they've just been together to damn long. Replacement is inevitable, trying to find some NOS units that won't bankrupt me, but aftermarket ones close to original is a possibility as a last resort.
