Don't settle for a substitute either. SR357 gives the best support. I have challenged mine well beyond the "recommended" max weight.

Yeah...I never had a problem with cramming my Shad SH42 full of crap either, and never had an issue with the sub-frame. Maybe I just got lucky. Still not sure how the SR357 will fit with the Laam passenger seat though.

Should be no problem with fit Joe.

No worries with the Laam Seat.

Plan to place one (1) flat washer between the rack and the spacer for the CENTER bolt on the rear mount (center one out of the 3).

For whatever reason, the spacer is just a smidge too short. Without the flat washer, the rack actually mounts a little off level.

I went up one size on the bolt - just wanted to make sure I was using every thread on the bike.

I can't take credit for this discovery.....

Thanks for the input...but I won't be doing anything till the new 2016 arrives.

Joe, do we know for sure the '16s have the same tails? Maybe I missed it but between Yamaha offering their own racks and bigger boxes along with the different tail-lights I'd be afraid of laying out $$ for stuff without definitely knowing they didn't tweak anything.

I can tell you the trick to finding a cheap one.

Order one full price. I guarantee a week after you get it installed, you'll find a cheap one right here on the forum. I have personal experience using this particular method.

Check with gary, and I would recommend to have him super size it before he ships. He had then in stock when I was looking last year.

Check here Tuesday then. Someone will have one for sale for $50. That's just how it works.

Could try FC Moto or Motostorm, both good to deal with and cheap prices, shipping not to bad either.

Their prices include VAT but is removed for international orders.

^^^^^^ - shoot, even with $31.00 shipping, that still comes out well under the Revzilla price I paid. Good deal.

I was going to order a new one, but I scored one here on the forum for the best price of all. It was free! Thanks again HuskyRider!!
