I find it difficult to believe anyone professing to be a Packer fan could side with the Vikings under any circumstance.
Pulling for the Vik's does NOT qualify one to be a Packer fan...period. :glare:
Ooookay, then. Thanks for clearing that up.

Anything else?
Well yeah, besides YooperDick and petey blasting you over NFL Football, re Packers mit Vikings; barb kicked you in the huevos over on the DVD thread also!

Yes. jmdaniel and I will be royally ganging up on Patriot this Sunday. Not too be missed. on Facebook. yo.

SKOL VIKES!! :fans:

And for my Viking brethren who haven't seen this yet:

Our Favrether, who art from Mississippi, hallowed be thy name.

They bowl will come, it will be won, in Miami as it is in the Dome.

Give us this Sunday, our weekly win. Give us touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us.

Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the Superbowl.

For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC and the glory of the Purple People Eaters now and forever.

Amen.

So I guess you were rootin' against Cowboy nation there Michele? In a conceal carry state no less. WOW. Hats off to you.

Sorry about the Wild this year though...maybe the North Stars will come back.

Yep, I even went to a bar in my purple Farve tshirt and made lots of noise. Cowgirl fans were awfully quiet! Was way too much fun!

Been a long time since I've seen the Wild play. I just love football so much, so that's my priority for now. They'll be lots of time for hockey soon, ya know, after we win it all.

Can hardly express how much I enjoy it when the CowPies get the **** kicked outta them, especially when they get their noses rubbed in it, and double especially when it ends their season. Loving that some CowPies are now whining and ragging about that last TD pass when they blitzed Favre.
I hate the Cowpies so much that I'll even root for Al Davis's Traitors in a game against Jerry Jones's CowPies. It's an enmity that goes back as long as I've followed football, even though there have been several CowPie players I've admired and respected over the years.
Amen, Brother Rich!

Why...imagine this happening to 'Murricahs Teem! Like...er...uhm...all the other teams are from Japan, Mexico, Finland, India, etc., etc., etc.

How many games have the Cowboys run up the score just for "fun", not because of happenstance?

Doh!

Now....I believe I'll root for the Saints. Just because! I don't have a dog in this hunt I just would like to see them win and go to the Super Bowl.

I couldn't believe the Vikings walked all over the Cowboys like they did. I have been a Cowboy fan for years, but their whiny BS gets hard to put up with. They got beat by a better team and now they wanna whine because the Vikes ran up the score? I say, "You're a professional football team. If you don't want the score run up, play better."

That said, I have hated Favre since the beginning. I despised the Packers because of him, and I'm rooting for the Saints to beat his team. He's a great player, but I think he's a self-absorbed crybaby idiot. I don't have any proof to back up my opinion, it's just what I think...

Haha...

Go Saints!!

No kidding. Like Michelle, I'm deep in the heart of Cowgirl country, and it's fun to see them get pounded! From this pic, it looks like Tony Boy has really been going to his yoga classes regularly. Can you believe that flexibility?!?!

Last Sunday almost, ALMOST made up for Drew Pearson's push off of Nate Wright in the 1975 NFC Championship game, (at the 0:21 mark):

You got that right. Dan "Cow Tongue" Dierdork is unbearable to listen to, with his lisp, inane comments, and propensity to beat his pointless point into the ground. Did you hear Buck go on and on Sunday about the running into the kicker penalty? That it was the Vikings that declined the penalty, when it was the Cowgirls punting? What kind of idiot would think that the kicking team would get a running into the kicker penalty? And he went on and on and on about it... I really think Aikman was sitting there thinking, "I'm not going to correct him. If top brass hears this idiot, maybe they will replace him, and I will get someone who actually knows something about football. Or anything." Things we can all hope for, right?

Like others on this thread, I've been disappointed by my Vikes in the past. I was born in the "other" Austin, the MN version, one year before the Vikes first season, so have seen it all. I will be watching Sunday, with either my Adrian P or John Randle jersey on, fingers crossed, that the team takes one step further. That being said, New Orleans fans have had their share of disappointment as well, so if the Vikes don't win, I'll be okay with New Orleans being the team to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. It's been a fun run with Brett and the boys this year! Pants on the Ground!

Pants On The Ground - Favre version

I am a Dallas Cowboy fan. Always have been, always will be.

Congratulations to the Minnesota Vikings. You whipped our ass. Period. No real football fan complains about the score being run up. There were no changes in the rules that prohibited the Cowboys from tackling, so that is BS.

But, since we're all keeping it real, then let's keep it real. This is the third time that Minnesota has knocked Dallas out of the playoffs. And with that, the Minnesota Vikings have won exactly no, nil, none, zero, nada, not one Superbowl. You own precisely no Lombardi trophys. We have FIVE. You won the game. You ended our season. If you don't finish (and history reveals that you won't - cause you never have) then that victory will mean nothing. You know it. And so do we. Playoff wins may suffice in Minnesota, since that's all you've ever experienced, but they simply aren't the standard round here.

Are we disappointed? Yep. Are we pissed? Damn straight. But we'll live. And, at the end of this season, we'll still have FIVE! You however, will not. When that distant day comes that your lousy organization musters the cojones to actually win a Superbowl, let us know how that makes you feel. Til then, swallow a little bit of that unfounded pride and ask someone who knows.

Blah, blah, blah.... Sports are all about "what have you done for me lately?" And the last Cowgirls SB victory was in 1996, which is ancient history, in sporting terms. Hell, how long, before the win over Arizona, had Dallas even won a playoff game? The wrong JJ is running your team; it should be Jimmy, not Jerry. Vikes fans will be just fine, but thanks for thinking of our cojones...

You're welcome.

The Sports are all about "what have you done for me lately?" logic... is that some sort of rule or is that your opinion. Because if that is a known rule please produce some sort of documentation or other evidence (betcha can't). If that is your opinion I find it awful strange coming from someone who introduced a 35 year old video in an earlier post. But hey, you're welcome to it. Hang on to that. Hope it works out for you. By the way, it was 13 years since our last playoff win, and er, it was not Arizona that we beat then... it was Minnesota, 40-15. Would love to discuss facts with you, but it appears that you don't have any.

Oh, and I may have wrongly assumed that you meant the last playoff win before this year. If I did please forgive me... but this year wasn't Arizona either. It was Philly. Thanks for playing.

Yup, Don. But I noticed that when she kicked me, her foot sorta lingered there for a little bit,

ifyaknowwhatImean. I felt ... used.

:D :p

Okay, back to this effing life-or-death football talk.

Wheatie, you've not become a fan of those smelly Bears, have you?

Good post. Barb does kinda do the lingering thing, doesn't she.

Bears? Not been a fan since they lost their defense...somewhere's about 2001. There's just something old school about a defense kicking ass at will.

For this year, I've been following the JETS since I saw them kick Cincinatti's ass twice in a row with their hard nosed running game and dominant defense.
