Great Video, I just picked up one on e-bay for $250.00 shipped, but for $213.00 I will pick up another one or two, who has a PC and what video software are you using, I looking for the ability to overlay 2 video into one screen.

Thanks

Not sure, R, but I think Final Cut Express can do that. Of course, that's a for $$ Mac app.

thats what i was wondering...
Thanks

iMovie 09 can do picture in picture PIP how to it can also do "green screen effect" aka composite video, Other wise I think it's Final cut express, which is around $199 from apple.

Thanks.

Just doing a little investigation, I don't know if FC express will give you much more than iMovie 09, there seems to be some overlap at the moment. I guess FC & FCE are getting a bit old so the other products are catching up with their features, I would think apple would be replacing them soon.

If you want megabucks there is always Adobe, they have a great suite of software that is cheaper than the apple pro stuff.

Just a heads up, the old program iMovieHD which was free until the launch of Imovie 09 when apple took it off the site, has some interesting features, multiple sound tracks and lots of effects not available in imovies. You can still find some people with downloads available.

I'm thoroughly enjoying my GoPro HD, even during the winter when I can't ride...

Snowboarding:

I'm still waiting on some final answers on some technical support requests for Sony Vegas and Pinnacle Studio video editing software before deciding which one to buy for editing videos.

Sony Vegas seems to handle everything technically correct, can create HD and 60fps projects, but the preview is pretty much useless unless I explicitly pre-render a portion of the video first. I can't even get smooth playback when simply viewing/trimming a video that has not even been imported into the project yet, so it makes editing very frustrating.

Pinnacle Studio provides perfectly smooth playback for previewing files before bringing them into the project. It also pre-renders all your changes in the background, so it's usually ready to give a smooth preview whenever you try to watch it. It can render HD projects. It does not, however support 60fps projects. This wouldn't be so much of a problem by itself, because the main benefit of recording 60fps video on the GoPro is so you can slow it down to 30fps (or slower) and get slow motion that is twice as smooth as traditional slow motion. I can bring a 60fps video into a 30fps project, but it does some really wonky things when I attempt to slow it down with the "Speed" effect.

I'm leaning toward Pinnacle Studio because it is actually responsive on my computer so that editing is not a complete frustration. I might just need to find another piece of software to slow my 60fps video down to 30fps before importing into Pinnacle Studio when I want smooth slow motion.

Sure! Meet me in Eureka. MT (where it is being delivered, as is my NR MC Cover) and I'll let you borrow it while we go for a ride across into Canada... then I want it back! :D
