These things make no sense at all to me. I can't honestly see myself buying anything like that for $12000 or more. They compare it to a Ninja 250. which costs what $3000 brand new. 4-5x cheaper than this motorcycle, and its range is farther and it can go faster. As far as I am concerned a motorcycle is green to me anyways. A chevy dealership here is trying to sell electric cars for 15k and they have a range of 30miles and a top speed of 30mph. I told them it seems like a car shaped golf cart with a mercedes price tag.

uhhh, no thanks. I'll just keep my little old Shadow 600 which still gets 62-65mpg gallon on my daily 55 mile roundtrip commute. It may not have that cool "Zero Carbon Footprint" but I'll pocket the $10k I saved and spend it on something else.

Seriously, if people really wanted to cut back on gas in the short term they would ride more bikes and/or motorcycles. Even my FJR gets 44mpg which is a heck of a lot better than the 20mpg or so I get in my WRX. I save $5 every day I take my FJR to work instead of my car in gas. I know, not everyone is cut out to ride one or should even be allowed on one but I for one am tired of seeing these soundbites on the news where some guy is bitching and moaning about how expensive it is to fill his 6.1ltr Chevy with 40 gallons of gas. I love driving the WRX as well but I gotta pay to play so it sits and I have to endure the endless torture of riding the FJR everyday to work if it aint raining...if it is raining I take the Shadow. I put less than 600 miles on my car last year as a result.

BTW, how do I get rid of (or can a mod get rid of) my warning blocks below my sig? I digress......

The disengenousness of articles and "vehicles" like these drive me nuts. "Zero Carbon Footprint", "Zero Emission", "Green"...pure fiction. Do these eco-journalists think we're stupid enough to think the electricity it takes to charge these antidestination devices falls free out of the sky? Seen the smoke coming out of electric plants lately?

Zero Carbon my gritty ***. :(

ps: Only YOU can see your "warn" meter below your name and avatar. It's a "private" thing.

I can see mine, but not yours, you can see yours, but not mine, so don't worry...I can't see that you're about to get booted off the forum...only YOU can see that. :)
