Saturday, Oct. 11 is our 11th anniversary. We will ride over to Mariposa,CA on Friday night and stay at the Miner Inn. Saturday morning we will join in with the mass of cages heading for Yosemite Valley by way of Oakhurst. On the way out we will spend Saturday night in El Portal at Yosemite View Lodge.

Sunday will take us up 49 with a stop at Sonora or Plymouth.

If your in the area this weekend look for us on the road or at the hotels.

Have a great weekend.

Mike and Terri.

Happy Anniversary! Now let me get this straight. You're going to Yosemite? In a CAR?? God, it's SUCH a cool trip on a bike, let alone riding up to Glacier Point and Tuolumne Meadows. Oh well, at least you're getting up there, and this is such a great time of year to go. We took our annual trip up there every October for years, till about 5 or 6 years ago when my kids hit high school and we didn't dare have them miss a whole week. The weather was perfect every time except for one single rainy day, as we were packing up to leave--and we were in a tent, too. Plus the summer traffic jams are gone by now. Have dinner at least once at the cafeteria in Curry Village (don't stand too close to the base of the cliff), and make sure to have Sunday brunch at the Ahwahnee if you have time.

And Terri, shame on Mike for making you wait so long to do this.

Happy Anniversary!

Be sure and ride up to Glacier Point before heading into the valley. It gives a different perspective before seeing things from the valley floor. Also, do yourself a favor and as soon as you enter the valley and clear the grove of trees pull over and drink in the sights. I darn near wrecked because I was looking all around...and I've seen others do the same. It is quite a different experience on a motorcycle!

Enjoy yourselves!

Happy Anniv.

We were up that way last weekend and the Pass was closed so check before ya roll. That time of yr up there, pass open when ya get up there, pass closed while you are up there. Snowed about 6 inches in one night. Keep an eye on the weather. WE were on dual sports so, weather really doesn't stop us.

If you have never been there, take the hop to the Bodie Ghost town. 10 miles N. of Lee Vinning. Worth the trip. The dirt road is nothing tricky, the feej can handle it if you go slow. Again, dual sports were rockin.

Have fun, looking forward to the pics when ya get back.

Correction,Terri has been over Tioga Pass and took great pictures from the back of the FJR.

Thanks for the advice, Glacier Point is now on our short list.

We will post pictures next week.

Have a great weekend, I will. :yahoo:

Enjoy the ride you two, Tosemite is an awesome place to putter around, and if Tioga is open, by all means ride it.
