You know I've always heard that . . . . Rules to live by for sure....best wishes scott! take good care of your fixed up labia. it will be good to you in return!
Heading to the hospital tomorrow for scheduled surgery on my shoulder that was injured back in June on the job.
Doc says I have several tears in some thingee in my shoulder. I thought he said it was the labia, but that just doesn't sound right
Anyhow, they say I'll be in quite a bit of pain (even on meds) for a few days, off work for at least two weeks, in a mobility inhibiting sling for 10 weeks, and on limited duty for six months. Ugh.
Also means I'll be off the bike for at least 3 months too. That's what really sucks.
See you on the other side when I get back.....
Good deal, 'cuz I am reasonable sure the labia and labrum are not readily interchangeable.yes, I know it isn't a labia. That was a joke for crying out loud.
Scott, if they have you on a "self adminstered pump", use it for advantage over pain. Your sleep will help the healing process. They will cut back your meds when they are rady for you to get up and around. They didn't have to fillet me after all, he was able to successfully repair the damage arthroscopically, so my pain and recovery time are a bit less than what it could have potentially been.
The beautiful thing about the drugs they've given me is that I sleep a lot, but I'm awake at weird hours for small intervals like this one.
Anyhow, the pain is pretty intense at times, but as long as I'm in a near comatose state and motionless, it's pretty tolerable. Hopefully by Monday......
Hey...you're awfully chipper for someone post-surgery.My surgery went well and I didn't die. Well, if I did, I'd very very nervous at this point if I were you because you'd be reading a post send from a dead guy!

As for NAFO, I'll be there.
Oh, and for the humorless, yes, I know it isn't a labia. That was a joke for crying out loud.
This man speaketh the truth. Toughing out the pain doesn't help. Relax and enjoy the meds. Rest and let your body heal, in anticipation of when the PT begins.Scott, if they have you on a "self adminstered pump", use it for advantage over pain. Your sleep will help the healing process.
