I recently ordered a set of bar-end weights from Manic Salamander, UPS 2nd day air, in hopes of receiving them in time for a hill country trip. (yeah, I know..not a good idea) They did not arrive. When I returned, I contacted them, inquiring about the problem. The owner, (Paul Ashman) personally called me back, admitted to the error (they were never shipped out) apologized and asked if I still wanted them (which I did, even though now I was not in a rush) He shipped them UPS overnight (at no shipping cost to me). Even though I had this problem, it was refreshing to see somebody apologize & take responsibility for it, and even more so to see it quickly resolved. :) Thumbs up to Paul! BTW the weights look great (I got the stainless) and (as expected) were direct replacement for the OEMs.

Thanks! Good customer support is rare and we should talk about it. I have also got good support from:

Roseville Yamaha

Starcom

Bike Effects

I want to see a pic of your new bar ends!

I recently had a good experience ordering my Autocom system from Kieth Goudelock at Tulsa Truck Center (918-446-2245). He was very helpful on the phone (no website) and then he forgot to ship me a unit. I called back after a time and I didn't receive the unit. He apologized and (at his expense) is sending my unit 2nd day air (he was willing to do overnight but I told him it wasn't necessary). He also gives a discount on the Autocom equipment and sells Powerlet products as well as custom built power-ready tank bags. He's also a rider so he knows how we want stuff.

Discount Cycle Gear also has treated me like they want more business. I ordered a pair of boots that had a defect in the footbed. I called and they agreed to send me a new pair, in a different size as well, and didn't charge me anything extra, just waited for me to return the originals as credit. Not many companies will do that. They usually want to charge you for the new order, then credit you once they receive the original stuff.
