Good riding around Minneapolis, Minn

I plan to be in Minneapolis for the start of the 2017 IB rally. I would like to do some touring before and after the start on June 26th.

I hope to meet up with Grey Ghost on the way through Ohio and also stop by Aerostich. Any thoughts on "must do" roads within 4-5 hours would be appreciated.

Or any Bike Nights or racing that take place in that vicinity.

What's the date of the rally? The fun roads are on the way up in SW Wisconsin. Within MN ride up to Duluth, take the north shore highway along Superior and take highway 1 up to Ely. that's about 5 hrs total from Minneapolis and a great ride although most of it is highway.

I shall be at the starting line and the finish line cheering this group of maniacs on next summer! Didn't realize the home base is in my backyard next year.

I heard that there is a nice loop around LaCrosse.

Yea there are lots of great roads south east of Lacrosse. All along the Mississippi Rive bluffs you can find some sweet roads.
