Visitors will receive a bill in the mail if the bike can be identified by the license plate. This particular section of I-405 is a bit of a puzzle and I am not sure why a pass/trransponder is being required. Maybe no cameras as there are on the eat end of the 520 bridge. Experimental/testing for future? I think that is probable.
I believe it is because the reader system has no way to know the plate belongs to a motorcycle. IIRC WSDOT was saying that by having stickers on motorcycles allows them to ignore stickers registered to bikes without having to manually check everything.

When you ride on the 167 car pool it will deduct then add it back after it recognize as a motorcycle pass.
I was wondering how the sticker would be treated there. good to know

I think that is what Texas posted also. The reader in use on the tolled section of I405 can't differentiate between cars and motorcycles. With any luck this will all be sorted out i a couple of months

I-405 express toll lanes will open September 27

On Sunday, Sept. 27, the new I-405 express toll lanes will open between Bellevue and Lynnwood. Motorcycles will need a Good To Go! motorcycle pass to ride free in the express toll lanes.

It’s Official: Good To Go! accounts are optional for motorcycles on I-405

Motorcyclists can ride toll-free in the I-405 express toll lanes with a motorcycle pass that is not linked to a Good To Go! account. Simply install the motorcycle pass on your headlamp and you will be ready to go. Motorcycles must still pay tolls on the SR 520 Bridge and SR 16 Tacoma Narrows Bridge. If you use these roads, you will need to set up a Good To Go! account and link your motorcycle pass to avoid getting bills in the mail.

If you would like to set up a Good To Go! account, or would like to link your motorcycle to an existing account, visit MyGoodToGo.com or call customer service at 1-866-936-8246.

Motorcycle Pass only for use on motorcycles

It is illegal to install a motorcycle pass on any vehicle other than a motorcycle. Installation and use of the motorcycle pass on a vehicle other than a motorcycle will be subject to a toll evasion fine as defined in RCW 46.61.690. Washington State Patrol will enforce the express toll lanes and troopers will be able to identify when a motorcycle pass is used illegally.

I have one of those for my parking deck gate. Will have a Peach Pass soon. My FJR is probably traceable from CIA satellites.
