Must be snowing in Owosso. Mizz Bust says she got 2 inches last night.
That's about an inch above normal for Owosso isn't it?

You know sometimes those storms blow in from out of town and she gets 9 inches or more.
Wowser, Wheatie: That's another great zinger! Everybody has been hitting the target dead center today. Fairlaner just kicked poor old johnny80s in the cojones over on the DV Daze thread! Is there something in the air today or just good pot?
Damn! Well that's what I get for working all day yesterday, can't even defend myself.. :dribble: **** gotta work today too!

Well poke away my little meanies :assassin: I'll be back.

Fricken mailman and those delivery drivers anyway!

Oh, an show's what you know Michael.... It was actually 3 an 1/4 inches in less than a minute!! ;)

Damnit! why can't I access all the smilies all of a sudden?

:****:

:jester:

sportsguy and escapefjrtist: My Friends, we need to talk! I would never go behind the backs of you gentlemen, so I'm going to let you know up front that I'm going on a breakfast ride this morning with one of our FJR Forum Admins: SkooterG!
I wanted to inform you both that I am going to be lobbying this Admin that a Forum Guideline be implemented requiring that prior to posting any pictures of that white ****: The letters NZS be prominently stated at least three times in Title and Text.

NZS stands for Not Zonie Safe; Skooty will probably amend this to NSWS, for Not South West Safe - so as to include the Southern Californians, New Mexicans and Texans - as well as we Arizonans. There's a reason we live where we do: So we never have to look at white ****, let alone even considering riding in that white ****. We don't need no stinking white ****!

I don't want you to feel I've singled you two out in this NZS/NSWS issue, I've also warned my longtime friends Bustanut joker, FJRay, Niehart and Geezer about posting these white **** obscenities on our forum. Thanks!! God Bless the Desert!!!
beemerdons-- Firstly, I hope you had a good breakfast and ride with the great administrator, SkooterG. I trust he will keep an open mind when looking at posting rules for the sensitive types in the no snow zones. The idea of NZS/NSWS is a novel idea to this long standing problem...the four seasons. ;)

Thanks for pointing out that you've not singled us out. Now you see, sportsguy is new to these parts, and is probably going through a bit of withdrawl. To make him feel at home, I posted the picture of what could possibly happen if he lived in the right area. I never intended to upset our senior desert dwellers members with long lost memories of seasons past...

A note of caution...you must keep an eye on Niehart. He is crafty and known to wear heated gear to enable him to ride in sub-standard conditions. In fact, just a couple weeks ago he led us through thick fog on wet roads covered with leaves with temps in the low 30's. To straighten him out, I would suggest cutting his cord the next time you see him. The scoop on FJRay will have to wait for another time and place...

Cheers from the Pacific North Wet!

Can't argue. This IS beautiful.

BS, all I see is a dog, man, some trees and that white ****. Just waiting for Niehart to run them over, drunk on a snowmobile!

Now, DABRIT gets it right with his last 3 photos on his post last night at 8:38pm! Could be Moab Canyonlands, Death Valley or Baja California: Makes me want to fire up my dual sport BMW Salma Hayek and go off looking for senoritas, tamales y tequila!

We aren't getting snow yet. Hoping to be able to keep riding through New Years. It happens that way some years. 2 years ago, it didn't and I already had cabin fever in mid February. Took a cage ride up to the top of the Kancamagus Highway up in the White mountains to play around with my new camera.

NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS - NSWS -............

Ah **** Fire, I've gone and done it now: Niehart just added me to his "Friends" list. After Bustanut joker and RadioHowie added me to their "Friends" list it took 6 months to get "their" porn off of my computer. At least when Old Michael and Shiny send me offline porn it has women, whiskey and motorcycles in it; not necessarily in that order. Not with Bust and Howie!

Stop it you are depressing me,

No white stuff yet but we are getting some pretty good frosts in the mornings.

Put the bikes away this weekend.

Chris

The scoop on FJRay will have to wait for another time and place...

What the hell did I do??????? :****:

Aren't there any wimmenz in the snow shots to cheer people up. Winter is long enough...lets not overdo this snow thing. :)
Like this ? (Dave's Dream is name of the trail, btw; not referring to the gal ;) )

I move all the way from Halifax, NS to Seattle, WA to meet someone from Freddy on this forum...LOL Nice pic - was shocked to see a UNB ballcap. :D

OK, dabrit - LOVE the cabin - very pleased to see a Jeep in there - the only vehicle truly capable of off highway travel in a civilized manner (assuming the Land Rover/Range Rover would, naturally get you THERE, but may break, thus not getting you BACK)... ;) That is some sweet mountain goodness...

Now, to try to put some balance into this thread lest it become a clusterfawk of chilling proportions (chilling - snow - get it?), here are some shots of, umm, something else...

South Lake Union - watching float planes from the Space Needle. 2 minutes after this shot, I got a phone call offering me my current job, setting into motion a series of events which sees me now living 4300 miles from home. 1 car, 1 wife, 3 dogs, 4300 miles - one pricelss road trip. :) And it all started here...

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=123705&hl= Alright, alright you guys: Due to your never ending pressure on seeing some god damn snow pictures! Go to link above and click on link in Reply #19/Pic#2. Sunday I had to endure riding 50 miles of dirt with this white **** on the side of the road. Saints Alive, I persevered and lived to tell about it!

Ummm... ah... riiiight.....

So, is this a timed event?

  • Click on the link.
  • Take turn at fork in road. Choose wisely, we won't say left or right.
  • Stop, pat head and rub belly.
  • See snow on ground.

OK, I clicked the link - saw a thread - clicked that link, saw a thread. Went to look at Pic # 2... this is what I see...
