Thanks for the old photos. There are some good shots and what a reminder of what bikes used to be. It also gives us a reminder of how lucky we are now.It reminds me of when I was growing up, my friends and I had "newer bikes" with better suspension and faster motors, but our parents still had the older bikes. I hate to to admit it they were able to outrun us youngins with those old bikes and no suspension. Without having the latest suspension they had to learn how to become "one with the bike" and not fight the bike. Definitatly some hard core riders (at least the ones I grew up admiring).

 
I remember riding to the "scrambles" in the early '60s on the back of my dad's Harley. A very basic track graded on the side of a bluff overlooking the American River in the Sacramento, CA. area. Everything from the early Asian 50cc bikes to the "big" bikes by BSA, Matchless and Triumph.

Thanks for the link that brought those memories back to the forefront of my mind. :clapping:

 
Great pics! I started riding on Triumphs onroad/offroad in 63 and these pics really make me long for the old days (when I was young! :D )
