I think my Kahr CM9 would fit without the extended mag, but I keep it in my pocket ready to go.
My Kahr PM9 fits but only if I remove it from the pocket holster and use the flush magazine. The LCP drops right in.
Mine went in with the pocket holster, but there was nothing else in it at the time. The lid closed easily, but it couldn't have been 1/8" longer

Do like they did in the TV show "Renegade". What could go wrong with a shotgun hanging out of your saddlebag? Not like cops care or anything. After all, we're seen as good guys by everyone and their kid brother.

It fits but closing the lid was tight. Not that I would ever keep it in there as others have suggested.

Sorry about the poor lighting in the picture.

Has to be a safer, convenient, more secure way out there that someone has already thought through. I understand the point the OP was trying to make about having a place to store it when restrictions will not allow it to be carried in some places. I work at a school, no places are guns more off limits.
I know this was just a "test fit" picture but it brings up another good reason not to use glove box as holster. The primary safety on many striker fired pistols is built into the trigger. Having such a pistol in a pocket or glove box without a holster that protects the trigger is just asking for an AD.

Denver,

You are right about this being a "test fit" There is no way I would ever put it in there other than to see if it would fit. The OP asked a question, that I thought I might be able to answer. I tried to provide some honest to goodness value to the board. You are also right about the trigger-safety issue. That is one of the reasons I did not go with the Glock version though. This model has a back safety in addition to the trigger safety. Heck, I did not even put it in there until I unloaded the flush mount clip.

We have established it can be done...........I think all of us all agree it should not be done. Just cause someone can make out with sheep, doesnt mean Zilla should................JSNS

Just for the record a Glock 42 (380) will fit in the glove box of a Gen 11 without the extended mag and a pocket holster for trigger protection. but again I think it a pretty stupid place to put it. Someone will see you put it there and then it is in the hands of a thief. JSNS

I actually keep my registration and insurance in there. I'm thinking it MAY not be the best place for a gun. Sure officer, let me just get this out of the way ..... BAM. FWIW i've never even considered traveling with a gun, although I own many. My favorite is "bucky" and he definitely would not fit in the glove box (8 3/4" barrel). I do think an intruder in the house would be pretty sure it's not a toy though

Spud, my favorite home defense weapon is a 20 Ga. double barrel coach gun. Quick to load and makes accuracy a non issue. I keep a SW seven round .357 revolver handy as back-up.

Yep, I have a "Bucky" too. Kinda difficult to store it in the glovebox tho

Just remove the drain grommet, the barrel will fit right down there.

I like the reeaallly long barrel revolver you have. Big bore large frame revolvers are really fun to shoot. Lots more accurate at range than a typical 9/40/45. Not practical for carrying but so much fun. Mine's a single-action. Can't get much more idiot proof than that. Never fails when I take it out shooting with guys they ask if they can put six rounds through and it brings a smile (and stinging hands)

Yeah, the big bores are great fun, love 'em.

Wow, very cool! If I ever have to use the .454 to defend myself The ball of fire from the muzzle blast will set the perp on fire if I miss.

IMHO nothing beats a big bore single action for extremely limited sight distance when hunting in the lowlands (swamps) of North and South Carolina- generally 50 yds max, 75 if you're really lucky. And no room to swing a rifle or shotgun. Plus there ain't a whole lot that'll deflect a .44 mag.

I don't worry about shooting it at someone so much. I generally just threaten to reach out and smack 'em with it. It works...
