Haha...I watch "crash compilations" and "fail" videos all the time. There was one with dirt bikes that I had to turn off, because it was just horrendous. These are funny, and show a lot of what I've seen in real life. For some reason, when we used to go to motorcycle rallies, this crap was prevalent. HD crashes and the guy who ended up in front of us, who was so drunk he could barely stand, were why I stopped going on those rides.

Around here, it's way more sport bikes and Japanese cafe racer choppers getting crashed than Harleys. Look around YouTube. There's a lot of stupid on any brand. Good thing us FJR riders are so mature.....Mostly.

... I find myself asking "what was the camera doing there?" for the FJR video.
If memory serves, it was being ridden by a motorcycling journalist. (Obviously one unfamiliar with proper side cases.)

Yeah, it was a French Moto-Journalist and they were in the middle of a photo shoot for some riding publication. Guess the jockey wasn't used to riding a wide body? Not much of a knock on FJRs as if you've ridden one (more than a little) you learn the dimensions pretty quick.

But there are plenty of things to take away from the OP video without just dumping on the Harley Riders. A few of the more spirited riders get caught up in target fixation, feel they can't make the turn, and just ride off the road. Lesson there is "Trust the bike. Ride the bike. Ride another day."

The guy on the white bike up on Mullholland has some kind of aftermarket floor boards on and he's grinding them like crazy for long before he goes off wide right. Lesson there might be: "Don't do anything to your bike that further limits your turning lean angle. You may need it some day."

Lots of cases of newbs riding above their ability. "Learn to ride. Take a lesson if you need to. Ride your own ride, and don't be stupid."

I have been bit or at least a few pucker moments similar to the ones on the video and I was not riding a Harley.

Stupid hurts but it sure is fun when it works out.
