I trailered Frank to Woofoo 5 or 6, Reno, when it was a hunnert bazillion degrees out and my health wasn't exactly stellar at the time. It was that or not going. Have also ridden on a 4k round trip east and southeast, twice. No apologies here. Mostly my trailer is for the Zook, I usually trailer it to the show, then ride home. I like it mostly cuz I don't have to live with a pickup, I tow with my Grand Marquis, 21mpg avg, quiet, nice ride, handles.

Pretty much the same for me for different reasons. There's NO WAY IN HELL my wife would agree to commute across West Texas this time of year. Today we're final going to dip down into the high 90's for a high. Been sweltering with 103-106 all week.

Just thought I post this for the guys who'd asked while I was trying to decide what to do.

Another thought is when you arrive your pretty fresh from the miles in the car and really feel like riding. I think it's just a different way to look at the situation. I guess eating a little crow is part of it!

The rear peg mounts are a better strap point for the rear. Don't put much weight on the plastic rear hand holds. I ride mine all of the time except when moving my toy hauler. When I move construction jobs the FJR gets put in the back of the RV with a modified LA Chock so the lower chin won't rub, a Canyon Dancer harness just snugged down on the grips and two aditional rachet straps to the rear foot peg mounts.
