Best beer I ever had was in Gunnison on this trip...

...cold full glass of Dos Equis -on tap- at the steak place in Gunnison. Smoothest glass ever. :yahoo:

Mighty tasty after a warm day. :clapping:

I learned long ago:

When someone asks what my favorite drink is, the response is always:

"The Next One"

Usual fave: Harpoon IPA

When I find it: Dale's Pale Ale- great stuff from Colorado

Seirra Nevada Pale Ale

Sometime in Maine: Gearys or Smuttynose.

Also the occasional Heineken or Corona

There are just so many!

In the US I'm very partial to Highland's Gaelic Ale from Asheville, NC.

I could happily put away lots of that brew, in fact I will be doing exactly that in less than 2 weeks :drinks: BRP here we come :yahoo:

Overe here in Europe, I'd say German Pilsener or Weissbier are my favorite poison. If I need my beer buzz quick, then I go Belgian.

I don't drink the so-called global beers like Heineken, Tuborg etc. unless there's nothing else and I avoid alcohol-free beer like the plague, A few beers years ago I spent some time in Iran and Libya and had only that sorry piss to drink. Ugh. :bad:

Man if i'd known so many would be in Gunnison... 5Bs BBQ was excellent two weeks ago. I would have suggested it and they had a dark Sam Adams on tap.

MMMMMMMMM Beer and BBQ!!!

IMO, micro-breweries have been one of the best things ever for beer in America. Before that -- American beer was mostly an alcohol delivery system (and not much of that).

I like: Negra Modelo, Dos Equis amber, dark ales, most IPAs, and tap beer in a frosted mug -- but some porters can be a little too much.....

Back in the 70's, while training near Wurzburg, the local brew Wils Pils was an experience I've tried to recreate for 35 years. We tried to drown in the stuff, in a good way.

I know I'm sick but I really miss the San Miguel we used to get in the PI....had that cool formaldehyde slightly bitter yet fruity aftertaste. Now its Sol, Negra Modelo, Guinness, Amstel or Bud Light...I know...no friggin taste at all...besides, after the second toke I cant taste the beer anyway :punk: ....now where'd I put those hemo's.....

Blessings,

Bobby

Up here in the Pacific Northwest there is a local favorite, it's made by a micro brewery the beer is Black Butte Porter. I've been all over the world and sampled some fine beers, but I keep coming back to the Black Butte Porter.

If I'm eating Italian food I really like a cold Peroni.

Otherwise I am partial to the reds, like Killians. We have a local Brewery/Eatery that makes their own version they call Milford Red. Very nice.

Not too found of the Belgium beers.

Do like alot Erdinger, and Erdinger Dark, Warsteiner Dunkel. Heiniken Dark.

Kirin Ichiban. Corona.

We tend to get something diffrent each week here, my wife being more of a beer lover than myself. There is one out now called "Shock Top" that is pretty good.

But I go through alot of Erdinger and she goes through alot of Warsteiner. So I think the Germans win here....lol

Oddly have not had a bad beer from Mexico or Japan yet.....
