Some things to consider with routing:
Elevation changes
Temperature variations
Population centers
Corners = gas stops
I ran I-15 on my B2B2B ride and also enjoyed it.
On my ride back from San Diego I was scouting I-10 and I-8 for the ride. You were correct about Arizona and law inforcement. West Texas has 80 mph and the deer were a concern. New Mexico was a positive experience again. The security stops were mere slow downs.
I think my strategy might vary from others. I ride 9+ over posted. I would try to maintain an 80 mph overall average with 4 hours rest each day.
The trifecta nearly kicked my butt, but you Josh- this would be a walk in the park for you.
I am very open to any options. Jason, PR2s will
Do the ride with no change out required. Put a "B" on the rear and have faith. I guess this is why I favor a pace and precision approach to the ride over a balls to the walls run.
