Help! I found a screw

Hard to tell from the pic, but that screw doesn't appear to be stainless steel, but plain Grade-12 Allen. If that's the case, it didn't originate from the outside of a stock FJR.

 
That looks like one of the dinky hex screws that attach the airbox boots to the throttle bodies, or, the throttle bodies to the intake spigots on the cylinder head. The screws that tighten the "hose" clamps on the intake side.

It resembles those, but those are 3mm, and AFAIK, the smallest hex heads on the bike. They're longer, too, relative to the head size, and the head is not so much larger in diameter than the bolt.

Not that either of us have actually been there, me with my starter, you with . . . . well, everything!

It may have come off the bike, but somebody not Yamaha put it there if it did.
