Hey, This little black number is about to arrive in the stable. I guess the SO will find out when its sitting in the garage. She will probably go out and buy a new hand bag or something, thats OK as long as she uses her own money.

That's a sweet looking speed triple! You need to report back on that once you get some miles on her.
I could tell it was a Triumph without even looking at the tank emblem.

Just look at all the drip marks on the ground...

Warchild, that was the first thought that went through my mind. Then I came back to reality. The little lady just let me get the new FJR last year. The year before that was a new 06 KTM. She is already griping non stop about those two bikes. One more just might send her over the edge!On that note, I heard a story once about a man who had ratholed enough money to buy a new bike. He did just that and told his wife he had won some sort of drawing. Voila.....New bike at home, no complaining! Pretty damn smart.
Simple. Trade the KTM for the duck.

SACRILEGE!!!!!!!

You can't be serious.

A KTM is just another (orange) dirt bike appliance, albeit a very capable tool.

But riding a Ducati is like having *** on 2 wheels...

Yes it does require some work, isn't always comfortable for long periods of time, but the resulting thrill just can't be achieved any other way. ;)

True - when I was able to straddle the 1098 (hopefully will be able to again in the not too distant future) it was a magical experience, and it REALLY gets magical around 7-10,000 rpm's trying to keep the front wheel somewhere near the pavement.

When I'm riding this:

I imagine it would be much like riding this (although I am sure this ride would be much more comfortable):

After all, their both sexy Italians!

Curse you KATOOM37.

Now I have to figure out how to get that damn Duck to my house. FJR Ray offered to store it for me as long as I left the keys with it. Also others offers to drive it to my house as long as I didn't mind a few extra mile.

Don't you think part of the price should include a lawyer on retainer?

Anyhows, rode down and looked at it Friday & bought it on the spot :secret: . Now I have to tell my wife. Could get spendy!

They are doing a few things to the bike so probably will be 2 weeks before its ready.

Will send ya a PM & buy ya a cup when I come down to pick it up.
