I know this is probably a long shot, but worth a try.

Next June I am riding in the Iron Butt Rally. I would really like to find a set of replacement wheels so that I can have the replacement wheels with new rubber already installed and waiting for me at the first checkpoint. If anyone has a set of wheels that they would be willing to sell or rent/lend to me, I cannot begin to express how much I would appreciate hearing from you! :dribble:

Does anyone know which wheels are a direct drop in replacement for the 07's? I remember seeing it once, but cannot find the thread....

Hey Perry,

FYI 08 on up wheels are not compatable for your 07... Perhaps only 06 is a option as well, not sure though.

Good Luck !

Thanks Peter.....

Hope to see you again this year....possibly the MD2020.

Hmmm, put you a nice new Car tire on the rear and be done with that for the whole ride to and from Ontario. Then only the front wheel/tire would need a change. :good: I also would imagine you can find some nice person to change the front tire for you while you sleep. I don't think that is against the rules but not certain.

I wouldn't buy new - look for used parts. At CP2 last IBR some folks had friends ride there with good rubber then simply swap out.

Not being an IBRer... what is the need for 'fresh rubbers'? I mean are you riding 10,000 miles and need a change when a tire goes bald at... I dunno 5897 total miles? Can't yah just get on and ride w/o new tires at some point? :eh-smiley:

Ok flame away! :black eye:

thx

Now Scott...... did you not get the talk from your Mom on why it is always necessary to use "fresh rubbers"?
