I must admit that I have not followed hockey longer then I can remember.....

but it was nice last season to finally have a professional Carolina team win a

championship of any kind.

Now colleges B-ball is a different matter.....

In a word: yes. There are 82 games in a season and most teams are on game 10. An awful lot can happen thoughout the course of a season to change rankings no matter how far ahead someone seems.

I know that last year, Edmonton barely...BARELY made the playoffs (ask Minnesota fans) and then made it to the finals.

The Canes are still in it my friend.

Stars? Odot is seeing Stars? My favorite constellation is Orion... Are we talking about the same thing? Where the hell is that tree?

Wrong again. Even with the Wild winning, they still won't get into the playoffs.

Buffalo vs. Atlanta

10-0 Buffalo looks to set an NHL record of 11 wins to begin a season.

Atlanta has only lost one game in regulation play and is 7-1-3 (the last number denoting OT losses) W-L-OT

This clash of Eastern Conference Division leaders looks to be very fast, high energy and should show a playoff type electricity from the teams and crowd.

Unfortunately, I'll be in my car driving and won't be able to catch it

I picked that over the Blue Jackets / Wild Game because I expect that to be a route by the wild.

Okay, the Avs are having a hard 1st quarter of the season by losing many one point games. They are, however, 2 for 3 against the Wild. It was an exciting game on Saturday! Yea Avs!!
