Try some and like it, now I need to get a set.

Anyone know where I can get a set.

I couldn't find anyone that still are selling them.

Please let me know if you know where I can get a set, thank you.

But FYI:

This MCL site above is very unpopular with folks at this site. I did not get the whole story, but apparently it was due to some impropriety by the sites founder Larry (RIP). I think I have some insight into FJRForum's displeasure with MCL... at least the way Larry did business. Larry copied Wild Bill's design and marketed it (see link above).

Here is a weird concidence. Both Wild Bill (RIP), the former inventor and producer of the highway peg mounts that you are looking for and Motorcycle Larry Bill passed away at about the same time. Wild Bill's family decided to stop producing the peg mounts, so now the MCL website (link above) is the sole producer of these mounts.

I have been in communication with Terry (Wild Bills niece) and the MCL folks via email, and this is how I came by this imformation.

So... fair business practices due to lack of copyright... outright theft of an idea... you decide.

Absolutely he stole the idea! No doubt in my mind. & a bad idea it is, too (IMO). Attaching brackets to engine cases is not a good idea (IMO)... unless, of course, you're never going to take a dirt/asphalt nap. ;)

Edited to add: MCL (RIP) should've been ashamed of himself for his blatant thievery. I hear that he did a lot of good & a lot of bad, too.

I purchased the Motorcycle Larry highway pegs before I was even aware of the above mentioned war. I've since sat on a FJR equipped with the Wild Bill pegs. I find the M/L pegs to be more refined in appearance but the WB more comfortable to the bottom of my feet.

I have a set of the Wild Bill peg mounts installed. Any instances of these mounts causing engine damage from a crash? So far I have read that the few that have crashed with them on did not sustain engine damage. Looks to me that the pegs would fold out of the way. Suppose it is possible though. Pretty sure I would use them anyway becuase they make a big difference for me on long rides.

I don't know of the feud but I just picked up a Gen II with hwy pegs installed. I'm not a fan so they are for sale. $105 shipped.

Somebody will definitely buy this bad idea. This post should've been in the for sale/classifieds section of the forum.

The only damage I have seen was the plate bented and pushed the bolt of the peg into the water pump line and created a hole in the water pump line. The damage to the bike wasn't bad enough that it could have been ridden away.... other than no coolant.

I used to have the Wild Bill ones. I had the bracket bend in a hard drop & allowed oil to leak. It sealed back up once the bike was on its wheels... but it was certainly enough to convince me to take the POS off.

If I feel the need to stretch I just hang my legs straight down or stand up. It's cheaper, too!

Its nice to have a variety of option when riding long distances, still looking for some pegs if anyone wants to sell theirs.

Don't say you weren't warned... & a free bump for you.
