Yeah my mid-life crisis is my FJR. Thought it would be less expensive and much safer then getting a young girlfriend

Maybe I should re-think that strategy after pricing out all these darn farkles...

BTW guys,

I remember one thing that she said to me:

"I think all those old guys on cruisers are a joke"

It was obvious to me that she did not lump me into this "old" category.

Still a fantasy for me but I wasn't only seeing things my way :)

I can assure you - it was just the bike. You probably look like a father figure, to her.
I have a 20-year-old daughter. People tell me she's hot. I can't see it, myself. The other day I was in a department store, and I caught myself looking at a package of these little jingle-bells, her mother used to sew into her dresses... Back when she was a toddler.

Something to think about, when ogling somebody's daughter, 20-something years younger than you are. Riding is a lot safer than some things.
My same thoughts as I read the post. I have a daughter about to be 18, and it's a little creepy (to me anyway) looking at women close in age to her. When the hell did I get so old? (I'm 49).
Hmmm....never saw that as a benefit to the wife and I not wanting kids. I can look at the cute young things all I want and not feel like a complete pervert. Only a partial pervert 'cause I am old enough to be their father (41). Fortunately, the wife is pretty tolerant of my appreciation of the female form (though her Mae West curves keep her #1 in my book). We were walking on the Huntington Beach pier last summer and I was watching some cute young thing (very subtly, thought I), and she reached over and whacked me one. "What?" said I, faux-innocently. "Your face went too blank." Damn. Caught again.

Though rushes' "messed up in the head" comment is dead-on accurate. I need that kind of drama like I need to get t-boned by a Peterbilt.

Rancho

Old truckers never die; they just get a new Peterbilt.
