How do you remove windshield W on a 2006?

I searched and could not find the answer for some reason. Shop manual makes it looks like it just slides up to get to the screws/bolts for the windshield.

So, how do you remove the W cover on the windshield? 2006 FJR.

First, you need to get down on your knees in front of the motocycle (yes, you have to treat is like it was your wife). Now, look up UNDER the windshield at the two bottom parts of the "W". You will see a 3mm allen head screw on both sides. A flashlight might help (No, I said a BUD light ). Take those two 3mm screws out, then just slide the "W" up and you are set to take the screws out of the windshield.
